Our Services

Strategic Planning

Are you ready to think about what’s next for your organization and plan for the next 3-5 years?  We can work with you to help lay out the key strategic goals by getting to know the organization from the inside out. Interviews with key stakeholders, board members, and staff, begin the process of what has been working well and what needs attention in the coming years. The final product will be a plan that is able to be implemented with recommended steps and strategies.

Team Building

People are oftentimes seen as the problem in organizations, when in reality, people are the solution. We work with teams to bring them together to learn how to communicate effectively, disagree respectfully, and all under the common vision set by the leader of the organization.

Public Speaking

Whether you need someone to lead your staff development days or are looking for a keynote, Ana-Cristina is available to come speak at your event.  She will tailor her message to the theme of your event and do it in a way that is accessible to all. Ana-Cristina’s warmth, humor, and passion will be a great addition to your next gathering.

Organizational Development

We can help organizations and leaders create and plan for systemic and cultural change. We do this by spending time with leadership to hear their goals and hopes for the organization and their team. This includes but is not limited to: job descriptions, organizational restructuring, leadership team creation, process creation, and so much more.

Fundraising

With over 20 years of experience in raising money for great causes, we can help your organization raise the funds needed to accomplish your financial goals. Whether it be a capital campaign, a special event, end of year appeal, or overcoming a budget deficit, we have the experience of leading you through the best way to meet your goal from start to finish.

“If you could get all the people in an organization rowing in the same direction, you could dominate any industry, in any market, against any competition.”
– Pat Lencioni

Ana-Cristina has over 20 years of experience working with nonprofits (secular and nonsecular) at all levels, including the last 11 years at the C-Suite level.

Her expertise covers many areas including but not limited to leadership, strategic planning, organizational development, fundraising, volunteerism, DEI work, and communications.

Ana-Cristina has spent her entire career working in nonprofits. Her most recent nonprofit position was leading the development, communications, stewardship, events, and education teams of Mobile Loaves and Fishes as the Chief Goodness Officer. Mobile Loaves & Fishes empowers communities into a lifestyle of service with the homeless and is the visionary nonprofit behind Austin’s innovative Community First! Village. Before that, she was COO at Saint William Catholic Church where she oversaw the day-to-day operations of the largest parish in the diocese with over 7,200 registered families, 30 acres of property, 50+ staff, and 120 ministries. One of the highlights of her career was building a 37,000-square-foot building from start to finish, while also spearheading a restructuring of the organization. (She often asks people, which do you think was harder?  Building the building or rebuilding a staff?) Ana-Cristina was the first woman (and first Hispanic) COO in the Diocese of Austin.

Ana-Cristina holds a BS in Human Development and Family Sciences from The University of Texas - Austin, as well as an MA in Communication and Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University.  She is a builder of relationships, community, and teams that all revolve around strong visions and missions working to make the world a better place. She is a lover of all things leadership and strives to bring that learning to her teams, peers, and community to build stronger relationships and organizations. She currently sits on the board for the Hispanic Scholarship Consortium and the University Catholic Center at the University of Texas. AC González Consulting is a woman and minority owned business.

Our Clients

Capital IDEA

Capital IDEA (CI) hired AC González Consulting to lead them through the creation of their 5 year Strategic Plan. CI is a highly respected, well known pillar of the community that lifts working adults out of poverty and into living-wage careers through education and career advancement.  Covid provided an opportunity for the organization to evaluate the ways in which students were able to continue their education despite not having access to classrooms and work sites.  CI also hired a new Executive Director during this time which also led to their desire to plan for the next 5 years post-pandemic, with new opportunities and perspectives.

Santa Cruz Catholic Church & School

Santa Cruz Catholic Church hired AC González Consulting to create a 3 year strategic plan for their parish in growing Buda, Tx. The parish experienced growth and financial stability despite the pandemic, under the leadership of its newly assigned Pastor.  Stakeholder meetings were held with all the Church councils, new parishioners, Youth leaders, Staff, and Leadership Team. Data was also collected from a bilingual parish wide survey, in order to obtain information from all aspects of the parish. From this came a plan that was values driven and provided goals for the years to come. After the plan was completed, Santa Cruz leadership hired AC González Consulting to help implement the plan which includes work with the Leadership Team, Pastor, and staff that is laser focused on the achieving outcomes set forth in the Strategic Plan.

St. Peter Catholic Student Center

Saint Peter’s is the Catholic Student Center at Baylor University.  They hired AC González Consulting initially to begin forming a capital campaign for possible expansion efforts and providing coaching to their newly hired Director of Development. During this time of growth, new staff was hired and it was important for the newly assigned Pastor to form his team with a strong foundation focused on the organization’s mission, vision, and values. Ana-Cristina was then charged with leading staff development efforts, leadership coaching with the Pastor, and being a point of support for the staff as needed. This work directly influenced the fundraising efforts because as involvement in their ministry grew, so did their donor base. They recently completed a renovation of their Chapel and gathering space completely funded in less than 5 months.

Tiny Pools

Tiny Pools is a woman-owned pool design and construction company that is successful because of their personal relationships with their clients and vendors. Their fast growth led their owner to reach out to AC González Consulting to lead their staff development retreat for the past two years. Ana-Cristina has been able to lead the team through foundational team formation and through discussions about challenges they’re facing, setting them up for future success.

Foundation Communities

Foundation Communities is a local nonprofit that provides affordable, attractive homes and free on-site support services for thousands of families with kids, as well as veterans, seniors, and individuals with disabilities.  FC hired AC Gonzalez Consulting to provide coaching and support to one of their Senior Program Managers.

Holy Family Catholic School

Holy Family Catholic School is the largest Catholic school in the Diocese of Austin. AC González Consulting was hired to recruit new board members, evaluate staff structures, and provide fundraising expertise and support. During this time Ana-Cristina was able to create a pipeline of new board members with varying areas of expertise that would help lead the growth efforts of the school. She was also able to provide support and coaching to various levels of staff leadership while they were undergoing various levels of transition and change.
